Settings

The ShowPage design editor: toolbar, Options menu, saving and publishing, and the page-wide Settings (General, Colors, Media, SEO).

This page covers the editor itself and the page-wide Settings. Open a design from the Designs page with Edit.

The editor

The editor shows a device preview in the middle and an inspector panel on the right that opens when you select something. The top toolbar has:

  • Design name and the Active badge.
  • Mobile / Desktop — switch the preview between a phone and a wide screen. The desktop view follows the layout you pick in Settings → General.
  • Options — the editor menu (below).
  • Publish — pushes the design live. It is greyed out until you change something.

Options menu

  • Edit General Settings — opens the Settings inspector (this page).
  • Edit Avatar Box — opens the header inspector.
  • Preview language — if your account has more than one language, switch which one the device preview shows.
  • Open preview — opens the draft in a new tab, one button per language. Share this link to get feedback before publishing.
  • See published — opens the live page (only for the active design).
  • See Backups — a backup is saved after every successful publish. Pick one to restore the settings, avatar box and blocks from that moment; then publish again to make it live.
  • Delete all blocks — clears the page content, keeping the settings and avatar box.
  • Delete page — deletes the whole design. This cannot be undone.
  • See tutorial and See all designs.

Saving, publishing and locking

  • Changes are saved automatically as you edit — you'll see a small "Saved" toast.
  • Visitors only see changes after you click Publish. Publishing renders every language, regenerates the page styles, saves a backup and marks this design as the Active one (any other design becomes Inactive). You can publish again after 60 seconds.
  • Publishing requires an active account; new or suspended accounts see a message instead.
  • Only one window can edit a design at a time. If you open the same design elsewhere, the second window is read-only and a message says who has it. The account admin can take over the lock.

Settings

Settings apply to the whole page. Open them from Options → Edit General Settings. They are split into four tabs: General, Colors, Media and SEO.

General

  • Design name — the internal name shown in your Designs list.
  • Share button — adds a button so visitors can share your page on social networks or by message. Its colors can be default, brand or custom.
  • Radius preference — the default corner rounding used by buttons, cards and boxes. Blocks can override it.
  • Heading font — the system font or any Google Font from the picker, with weight and italic.
  • Desktop layout — how the page shows on big screens: Stack (avatar box on top, blocks below), Stack · 2 columns, Stack · 3 columns, Sidebar (avatar box beside the blocks) or Sidebar · 2 columns.
  • Mobile gap and Desktop gap — space between blocks on each device. On mobile blocks already space themselves with their own top margin, so the default is 0.

Colors

These are the page defaults. Every block that uses the default color for text, background or buttons follows them, so changing a default restyles the whole page at once.

  • Theme — White, Light, Dark, Brand or Palette. Sets the page background and picks contrasting text and button colors.
  • Primary brand color — the accent used by buttons and highlights. Use similar colors derives the page colors from the brand instead of using contrast.
  • Mix color — optional second color blended into the palette for different variations.
  • Palette — ready-made color sets; the invert buttons swap the palette colors around.
  • Custom — set text, background and button colors by hand. Apply to custom copies the current theme colors into Custom so you can tweak them.

Media

  • Background — an image or video behind the whole page (up to 1600×1400). Set size (cover / contain), position, opacity, blend mode, whether it stays fixed while scrolling, and how much of the top and bottom fades out.
  • Effects — falling snow, rain, confetti, sparks, bubbles, bokeh or your own image over the background. Choose the color and density, and whether the effect sits behind the content, in front of it, or both.

SEO

How your page shows up in search results and what search engines are told about where you work.

  • Title and description — From avatar box uses the header title and subtitle; Custom lets you write your own per language. The panel warns when either is missing.
  • Locations — cities or regions where you work. They go into the page's structured data so search engines can match you to local searches.
